A tale set in ancient times. For entertainment the king would set forth a challenge in the arena. The victim would have the choice of two doors. One led to a hungry tiger, and the other led to a young maiden. The choice would lead either to death, or a happy marriage. The princess is in love with a man, but he isn’t royalty, or suited properly for her. Given the chance to travel and make a name for himself, he returns to try to claim his princess bride.
Through a misunderstanding, the princess becomes infuriated and her suitor becomes the next in the arena. Having second thoughts, she promises that she will signal him as to which door holds the tiger.

Is she mad at the suitor for jilting her? Has he actually given reason for her jealousy? The signal has been given, but should he take it at face value, or try to second guess her feelings?
