Jack and Mary fight through the Christmas shopping crowds. As Jack tries to think of something special to get his sister Florence, he encounters unruly sales clerks, and spies on Dennis Day doing his shopping. Stepping to the music department, Dennis sings, I must have done something wonderful.
Meanwhile, Mary has slipped away to find a gift for Jack. Phil joins the gang for a quick joke. Rochester wants to get a gift for his gal, but it may mean getting it on an installment plan. Don’s gift to Jack is a music box powered by the Sportsmen, and singing songs to plug the sponsor.
As Mary keeps helping Jack shop, the topic of pencil sharpeners rules the jokes. A catch all gift for that person who you don’t know what to get for them.
