At home, Jack is joined by Phil and Dennis. The guys plan to spend the night playing cards. Mr Kitzel pops in for a few jokes, but he can’t stay long. As the guys play bridge, Phil gets some good poker hands. Mary gets an offer, but it might only be one to rejoin her position at the May Company. Dennis sings. After the game.
With the game over, Rochester packs things away as Jack relaxes with a book from his library. Andy Devine stops in for a quick visit, and afterward Jack reads a book that Andy provided. Mel Blanc provides the sound affects for the story as Jack reads it, and along with Mary and Dennis, they dramatize it. Dennis and the Sportsmen get some help from the cast as they present the sponsor message.
