After the original run of the series, the producers tried, apparently unsuccessefully, to revive the show. This is the pilot production for that effort, but with the enthusiasm shown in the acting, you might think either Elliot Lewis wasn’t all that into the idea. Or maybe they were just going for a different tone in the show.
Red Gallagher is back as the first mate, but the role Elliot Lewis portrays is now Matthew Kincaid, rather than Philip Carney. Also the Scarlet Queen has been renamed to the Black Parrot. On the surface there doesn’t seem to be any more changes. It’s still the same great writing and production staff.
The Black Parrot is about to set sail with it’s new cargo of dynamite, when dynamite of another kind is forced on it. Authorities from the government impose a passenger, and pay a high enough price to make it worth Matthew Kincaids trouble. Who is the beautiful girl, and why is it so important she be transported?
She is setting sail against her will. She’s the kind of gal that Kincaid finds himself falling for, but he has to impose barriers between himself and her, or he just might find himself on her side, instead of on the side of the officials who have hired him.
