Jack seems as stingy as ever as he and Rochester are at home, taking inventory in the pantry. Running gags appear from flubs made last week, and the topic of Mel Blanc looking for a job on the show reoccurs.
As Jack’s inventory continues, the cast make their appearances. Mary stops in, and takes a phone call from the ever loving Phil. Dennis stops in to torment Jack with his crazy outlook on life. Dennis sings, .
Don Wilson, and the Sportsmen come over to show off a tune for the sponsor message. Back in the pantry, Jack has an unusual accident. At least it has an unusual outcome that closes the show.
PS: Jokes about any topic have been used in the show, especially on Jack being stingy. As funny as that is, Jack’s character has become so associated with that part of it, that his knock on the head, memory loss, and becoming generous would never be so hillarious if anybody else tried the jokes he has at the end. I wonder if he tried to plan to shed his tight wad persona? Probably not, because it doesn’t carry over to upcoming shows as a running gag. It would be an interesting one for him though.
