Though Connie is down on her luck, and talks about superstitions, Mrs Davis is particularly perky. Connie dreads facing another day of school on this fine Friday the 13th as she talks with the absent minded Mrs Davis.
The two women look through a photo album to select a picture for the school yearbook. The whole time Connie is accident prone, and worries that the tone of her day is now set in place.
Mrs Davis gets the idea of sending in a racy photo of Connie in a French bathing suit to get Mr Boynton’s blood boiling. Actually, the head was cut off to include as the head shot for the yearbook. Unknown to Connie, Walter takes the bottom part to school. Walter and Stretch break a little bad news, they have to pick up Mr Conklin along the way.
Meanwhile in the Conklin home, Harriot gets ready for school as her dad, Mr Conklin talks to her about the school yearbook. It seems that Mr Conklin has the same worries about Miss Brooks as she does about him, and the accidents that seems to happen when they’re in each other’s presence.
Later at the school cafeteria, Miss Brooks tries to get Boynton to ask her to go swimming. Both to take his mind off of his frogs, and so she will have the opportunity to show off her bathing suit. Despite her best advances, Mr Boynton still has plans that involve frogs.
The day seems to be relatively accident free, until Connie crosses paths with Conklin. To get back at Conklin for calling him names, Walter rigs the photo of Connie so it has Boynton’s face on it. When Connie and Boynton see it, they try to take it down before Mr Conklin discovers it.
It’s bound to happen, and with everytime that their paths cross, accidents happen with Connie and Conklin. Still, through the plague ofaccidents, the hypertensive principal manages to keep his cool. To the unnerving of Connie’s emotions.
The day is nearly over, but there’s still some accidents brewing, along with more photo mixups. Don’t worry, Connie takes a cue from Mr Conklin and remains calm and collected. She even uses his method for blowing off steam.
In epilog, Connie finds that it’s not all bad when Boynton wants to tqake her to the beach afterall. There’s still a frog in the deal though.
