Commercial time for grabbing that tasty treat. Just reach in and eat them by the handful out of the box. But don’t mess around with only one, make sure to have plenty of boxes on hand.
The baby had been crawling towards the house, and now Jingles acts as nursemaid, and until they find her real family, they call her Nugget. The rancher can’t think of any families around who might have asmall baby.
Just then, a couple of hardcases ride up claiming to be looking for a lost baby. When the hard man and woman learn that Wild Bill is on hand, they get nervous. It’s clear they aren’t thebabie’s parents, but Bill chases them off. Jingles keeps playing with the baby, and talks over the incidents and figure the nugget plays a part.
The rancher shares a crazy legend about a lost gold mine near where Aroyo Diablo. Bill leaves baby Nugget in the care of Jingles as he rides off to investigate. He finds a boy named Jimmy, and Jimmy tells of how his dad was killed, and how the killer ran off with his baby sister. The killer was Marty, the same hardcase who Bill already encountered. A diary is found with an odd message, but Bill seems to have cracked the code.
Back at the ranch riders approach, and a gun battle breaks out. As the shooting rages, little Nugget crawls away. Commercial time, and time for more of that two way snack with the sweetening already on them. Eat them dry, or with milk. Because Kids love Pops, Moms love Pops, and Pops love Pops.
After the baby crawls away, Jingles breaks off with his fight to rescue the baby. Just then reinforcements ride up, and Wild Bill joins in the fight. He takes Nugget to a safe place and comes back with both guns blazing. The bad guys flee, and a horse race ensues. Though they end up at Jimmy’s house, and things look bad, a simple bluff brings justice.
What about that secret code, and the legend of the gold? What does the baby have to do with anything? Bill explains all in the end.
