Don summarizes the events of last week’s show, then the flashback takes us back again. Jacck grumbles, and coughs as nurse Rochester takes care of him. Mary comes over to cook for him, and check with Rochester about Jack’s general condition. Dennis stops in with a gift. Jack is just to crabby to get any rest, so Dennis sings, How I Love to Hear the Organ.
Instead of Remley, pianist Charlie Bagby drops by with a gift from Frankie Remley. When Don stops in, Jack seems to still be holding a grudge. Can the Sportsmen cheer up Jack? They sing, Smile Smile Smile.
Doctor Frank Nelson arrives. What a bedside manner. As the gang leave, and Jack tries to get rest, he keeps grumbling about Don, and makes a plug for his TV appearance later tonight. Finally, Jack gets a surprise visitor.
